MUSEUM WINDMILL DISPLAY

some of the windmills currently on display at the Morawa Museum     The Morawa Museum's collection of Australian made and imported windmills is steadily increasing and at the moment consists of over 50 different models in various states of restoration. As they are restored we mount them on short towers for display. Unfortunately lack of space prevents us fitting the tails and wind wheels of most, but as companies often use their own standard design for these parts, we endeavour to have a representative smaller model erected in full with wind wheel and tail. Several makes of the various tails are mounted on the inside wall of the building. Other items ancilliary to windmills, such as pumps, fishing gear, pump jacks, automatic shutoffs, float valves etc. are also on display.
